Charlotte Teachers Institute (CTI), an educational partnership with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), UNC Charlotte, and Johnson C. Smith University, is accepting faculty proposals for 2019 seminars. University faculty lead a seminar of 13 CMS teachers over the course of 7 months. Teachers, known as Fellows, write original curricula which they teach to their students. To date, more than 450 CMS teachers in grades P-12 have completed seminars led by 60 university faculty, teaching more than 103,000 students. Proposals will be shared with the Teacher Steering Committee, made up entirely of CMS teachers, for feedback. Deadline to submit a proposal is Monday, September 3, 2018. Click here to submit your proposal today. Please contact Scott Gartlan, CTI Director, with questions or for more information, scott.gartlan@uncc.edu. www.charlotteteachers.org
